Nestled in the southwestern part of Cebu, Alegria is probably one of the laid-back towns in Cebu. Little did known that this humble town is blessed with big-time attractions from pristine beaches, cold springs, enchanting waterfalls, rich aquatic resources to breathtaking landscapes, scenic mountains, forests and unexplored caves.

Your stay will never be so far from home. People are warm and friendly. It is a place of happiness as a certain Spanish soldier exclaimed, “Que Alegre” after seeing the natives in ecstasy around the Tubod Spring.

Alegria is a 4th class municipality in the province of Bohol and one of the 15 towns that compose the 2nd Congressional district of the province. It is located in southwestern coast, approximately 117 kilometers away from the main city, Cebu City.

The town is bounded by the Municipality of Badian in the north, on the east are the municipalities of Dalaguete, Alcoy and Boljoon and by the Municipality of Malabuyoc on the south. It faces the Tañon Strait on the west.
