Cebu Pacific Air, the low fare leader in the Philippines entered the market on March 1996 and pioneered the “low fare, great value” strategy in the local aviation industry. CEB launched its International Operations on November 2001 and now fly to Bangkok, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Busan, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore, and Taipei.

Cebu Pacific Air is currently the country's leading domestic carrier, serving the most domestic destinations with the largest number flights and routes, and equipped with the youngest fleet.

Its main base is Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, with another hub at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Francisco Bangoy International Airport and Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.

The airline is a wholly-owned subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings, controlled by the Gokongwei family - one of the richest Filipino-Chinese families based in the Philippines. Cebu Pacific is currently headed by Lance Gokongwei, presumptive heir of John Gokongwei, the chairman emeritus of JG Summit. The company has 1,182 employees (as of March 2007).

Cebu Pacific Air now operates a fleet of 21 Airbus (10 A319 and 11 A320) and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft, the youngest fleet in the Philippines. With the completion of its re-fleeting, CEB has doubled its capacity.

Cebu Pacific Air offers the lowest year round ‘all-inclusive’ fares for its domestic sectors while it continues to sell ‘Go’ fares - providing the lowest year-round fares in all its international destinations. CEB remains to be the pioneer in creative pricing strategies as it manages to offer the lowest fare in every route it operates. The ‘Go’ fares are not promotional and are exclusive of surcharges and government tax.

Cebu Pacific Air, the leader in innovation and creativity in the local aviation industry, is the first local airline to introduce E-ticketing, prepaid excess baggage, and seat selection in the Philippines.
